The art of the faker
Faking is an art that football players need to use against clever defenders
The type of defender who commits late so you have difficulty reading his mind. The faker holds off because his opponent is being patient and refusing to bite.
In this session you need your faker to have a couple of skills up his sleeve that he can use to get the defender off balance or to freeze up. He must then react quickly because he will only get a spit second to feint one way and go the other while the defender is off balance.
Spit your squad into twos and get one running at the other between two cones 15m apart. The faker then uses a skill like dropping his shoulder, step overs or the Ronaldo chop - to get the defender off balance and get past him.
It takes time, but eventually you will get all of your players to fake it during matches.
