Warm up with a triangle test

Whether your team is about to start training or preparing for a match, you can quickly set this up while you are putting up the nets or sorting out the team. It's a good one for away matches because you only need cones and balls.

  • One defender stands inside the triangle, he must intercept the ball to get out of the triangle.
  • Three attackers on the sides of the triangle must keep passing the ball by feinting the pass or looking one way and passing the other - something to fool the defender.
  • If they lose the ball they go inside the triangle.

Make it more competitive by setting up a points system. The player in the middle needs two interceptions to score a point and the outside players need four consecutive passes to score.

Time it for five minutes.
